Emergency Services

We respond to an array of calls ranging from commercial and residential alarm activations to fully involved structure fires. We encourage each of our firefighters to attend the state's fire academy as well as other recognized programs.

Our Fast Squad is comprised of nationally certified first responders. The goal of our fast squad is to have responders go directly to emergency medical situations to provide assistance and care before and during the arrival of the ambulance crew.

We encounter an array of different emergency situations. The most common type of call we get is motor vehicle accidents (MVAs), but we train for many different unique types such as ice-water rescue, search and rescue, etc.

We are one of the departments designated by the Vermont State Haz-Mat Team to house and train with their decontamination trailers. We respond all over Central Vermont to assist local agencies with these types of calls.
