This month was a fairly average month for Berlin Volunteer Fire Department, we responded to eight calls less than a year prior (July 2019), hitting 20 calls in the month of July, 2020. While the number of calls may have been less, it did not keep us from helping out many residents. We responded to one out of town mutual aid, and three HAZMAT related calls. Between these 20 calls, we spent a lot of time on each scene to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
Our with a lower number of calls than last year, we decided to continue to increase our training levels, and enjoy the warm weather while following the ever-changing guidelines. We participated in a few various trainings to hone in our existing skills and discover some new ones.
As always, stay safe.
